Laura García Veléz is a Quantitative Analyst at Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM). She joined the Sustainable Investment Research & Strategy team (SIRS) in 2020, and focus on thematic research on nature-related risks and physical impacts resulting from climate change. This includes both the development of geospatial (GIS) metrics, and its integration on portfolio management and company engagement. 

Laura joined from the World Wildlife Fund, where she worked as a geo-spatial analyst supporting the integration and development of sustainability metrics in the nascent spatial finance community. She holds a Master of Science from the University of Lund on Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation with focus on Natural Resource Management
