Saskia de Vries is currently Head of the International Financial Architecture department at the Financial Stability division of De Nederlandsche Bank. She is also Co-chair of the NGFS Task Force on Nature-related Risks. Her department works on a range of analytical and institutional topics in financial stability, including macroprudential policy for banks and non-banks, and is responsible for DNB participation in international fora, such as the FSB, IMF, BIS and ESRB. Saskia coordinates the sustainable finance work at the financial stability division. Previously, she worked in supervision policy. She has also spent one year at the European Commission in Brussels, working on financial sector regulation, and a year at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, working at the Single Supervisory Mechanism. Saskia holds a PhD in financial economics.
